Overview
Throughout this course you'll learn how to provide support to meet personal care needs,
implement individualised plans and empower those with disabilities. Potential career outcomes include: Accommodation Support Worker,
Care Assistant, Community Care Worker, Disability Support Worker, and Residential Care Officer. The Cert III in Individual Support
(Disability) is Australia's latest disability training course. It is ideal for those who want to
develop their career in the disability care industry by gaining the latest nationally
accredited qualification for care givers and support workers. Workplace placement is a
compulsory part of the course. You will need to complete a minimum of 120 hours of clinical
placement in a residential aged care facility as part of training program in order to complete
this course. Current police clearance is required prior to commencement of your clinical placement.

Requirements
- There is no requirement or pre-requisite required to commence this course. However,
students must be competent in basic literacy and numeracy (reading & writing in English).
- Completion of year 10 or equivalent
- National police clearance for vocational placement
- Working with children clearance
- Students should be at least 18 years of age.
