This course is suitable for all team leaders or nursing students who are working in the industry and are responsible to administer medication to the clients in the residential aged care facilities or clients in the community. This course provides a set of skills for assisting with medication administration and must be applied strictly in accordance with legislation, regulations, and government policy and industry guidelines. These units may provide credit towards a range of qualifications at certificate III and IV levels. There are 2 units of competency in this course. Some of the topics covered are including:

- Patient's safety
- The role of the nurse in drug administration
- Allergies, side effects, drug metabolism
- Medication chart & interpretation
- S4, S8, Warfarin, GTN & inhalers
